Downwind Dash Event

The premier downwind event in Africa where windsurfers, kiteboarders, dinghy and catamaran sailors join in a on a really special race - harnessing the power of wind and water for some wild, wet fun.

The Langebaan Downwind Dash is an internationally renowned sailing event, that has been run consistently for 30 years, attracting extreme sailing enthusiasts from around the globe. The competition is open to windsurfers, kiteboarders, catamaran and dinghy sailors and is sailed over a 20 km course from Langebaan to Saldanha.
