Langebaan has recently jacked up its kite surfing services and that include the addition of a rescue boat manned through out the summer. One of the boats was proudly sponsored by The Farmhouse Hotel and Kite Quarters and is manned by Adam Barnard and his passionate team of lads. The NSRI also plays an active role in assisting kiters who are in peril.
An initiative started by passionate kiter, Pierre le Roux. They are stationed at Main Beach and pick up kite surfers in trouble in that vicinity.

The NSRI station is located at the Marina at Club Mykonos. They operate 24/7 and their service area covers the coastline from our side of Dassen Island right up to the Orange River Mouth. The NSRI is manned by volunteers and charge a fee that varies dependant on the type of operation they have to undertake.
